1.UsethesuppliedUSBcableandThinkPadTabletACAdaptertoconnectthetablettoanelectricaloutlet.
2.Pressthepowerbuttontoturnonthetablet.
3.Followtheonscreeninstructionstocompletetheinitialsetup.

Thistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtousethemulti-touchscreen.
Tap
Tapgentlyonthescreenwithyourfingertiptolaunchanapplication,selectanitem,openamenu,or
inputtextusingtheonscreenkeyboard.
Pressandhold
Pressandholdanobjectorablankareaonthescreenuntilanactionoccurs.
Drag
Tomoveanitemsuchasanimageandanicononthescreen,tapandholdyourfingerontheitem,move
yourfingertothedesiredlocation,andthentakeyourfingeroffthescreen.
Swipeorslide
MoveyourfingerinaverticalorhorizontaldirectiononthescreentoscrollthroughtheStartscreen,Web
pages,lists,picturethumbnails,andsoon.
Zoom
•Zoomout:Movetwofingersclosetogetheronthescreenasifyouarepickingsomethinguptoreduce
theviewofanimageoraWebpage.
•Zoomin:MovetwofingersapartonthescreentoenlargetheviewofanimageoraWebpage.
Double-tap
Forsomeapplications,quicklytaptwiceonthescreentozoomin.Double-tapagaintozoomout.
Rotatethescreen
Yourtablethasabuilt-inmotionsensorthatsupportsthescreenauto-rotationfeature.Bydefault,this
featureisenabled.Whenyourotatethetablet,thescreenautomaticallyrotatestolandscapeorportraitview.
Todisablethescreenauto-rotationfeature,pressthescreenrotationlockbutton.
