Deletinglockedproﬁles

TherearetwowaystodeletealockedAccessConnectionsproﬁle.

1.UninstallAccessConnectionsandchooseNowhenaskedtosaveexistingproﬁles.

2.Todeletelockedproﬁlesremotelycompletethefollowingsteps:

•Createanotherdeploymentpackagewiththesameproﬁle(s),nameandpassphraseastheoriginally

deploymentpackage,butwiththeproﬁletobeunlockedsettoAllowallchanges/Allowdeletion.

•Deploythe.loaﬁlethatyoucreatedtoclientsystems.

•Usefollowingcommandtodeletetheproﬁle:

<path>\qctray.exe/del<locationprolename>

UpdatingdeployedProﬁles

Toupdateyourcurrentlydeployedproﬁlestonewencryptionandsecuritysettings,youwillhavetocreate

anotherdeploymentpackagewiththedesiredsettings,butwiththesamenameandpassphraseofthe

originaldeploymentpackage.Deploythisnewlycreatedpackagetoclientsystems.

UpgradeAccessConnectionsonexistingcomputers

ToupgradeAccessConnectionstonewerversionandmigratetheexistinglocationproﬁlesonexistingclient

computers,completeoneofthefollowingsteps:

1.CreateanintegratedpackagewiththenewversionofAccessConnections,recommendedversionof

wirelessLANdriver/application,HotkeyFn+F5utility,andPowerManagementdriver.Deploythis

packagetotheclientsystemsandrestartthesystem.

2.DownloadthelatestversionofAccessConnectionsforyourspeciﬁcoperatingsystemandinstallasper

instructionsintheREADMEﬁle.PleasealsonoteintheREADME,thepossiblenewrequirementsof

wirelessLANdriver/application,HotkeyFn+F5utility,andPowerManagementdrivertobeinstalled

aswell.

3.RunThinkVantageSystemUpdatewithaninternetconnectiontodownloadandinstallupdatestoAccess

Connections,wirelessLANdriver/application,HotkeyFn+F5utility,andPowerManagementdriver.
