afterPowerMangertracksandsummarizesthecomputer

sleepingandresumingactionsforafewmonths.

•Ifthecomputersupportsdeepsleepstate,itwillenter

deepsleepstateafterthespeciﬁedsleepstateduration

hasexpired.

•Ifthecomputerdoesnotsupportdeepsleepstate,it

willenterhibernationmodeafterthespeciﬁedsleep

statedurationhasexpired.

Whentheharddiskdriveisencryptedorprotected,the

computerwillnotenterhibernationmodefromsleepstate

afterthespeciﬁedsleepstatedurationhasexpired.Inthis

case,awarningmessageorapasswordauthentication

messagemightbedisplayed.

Thecomputerwillnotenterdeepsleepstateor

hibernationmodeinthefollowingsituations:

•TheAlwaysOnUSBoptionisenabledandaniPod

digitaldevice,iPhonedigitaldevice,orBlackBerry

smartphonedeviceisattached.

•Anunauthorizedbatteryisinstalled.

•Anacpoweradapterisattached.
