ThepowerplandeploymentfunctionenablestheITadministratortodeploythepowerplanbyusingthe

ImportPowerPlancommandlineandtheControlPowerPlancommandlineinsteadofADMorADMXﬁles.

Note:ThepowerplandeploymentfunctionissupportedonPowerManager6.60.1andlaterversionson

WindowsVistaandWindows7clientcomputers.

Overviewofthepowerplandeployment

Thissectionprovidesgeneralinstructionsonhowtoexportthepowerplan,andthendeployandmanage

thepowerplan.

Exportingthepowerplan

Toexportthepowerplan,dothefollowing:

1.StartthePowerManagerprogram.ThePowerManagerwindowopens.

2.SwitchfromBasicmodetoAdvancedmode.

3.Selectthepowerplanyouwanttodeploy,andthenclickExport.TheExportingapowerplanwindow

opens.

4.ClickEditPlantoeditthenameandthesettingsofthepowerplan.

5.ClickSaveandspecifyaﬁlepathtosavethepowerplaninanINIﬁle.Thepowerplanisexported.

Deployingandmanagingthepowerplan

Todeployandmanagethepowerplan,dothefollowing:

1.MovetheINIﬁlewiththeexportedpowerplantoasharedfolderthatclientcomputerscanvisiton

theserver.

2.CreatealogonscriptincludingtheImportPowerPlancommandlineandtheControlPowerPlancommand

line.Then,movethescripttothespeciﬁedﬁlepathontheserver.Thepowerplanisdeployedtoclient

computersandmanagedaccordingtothelogonscript.
