•Theuseofagroundingsystemisrecommended.Forexample,wearanelectrostatic-dischargewrist
strap,ifoneisavailable.Alwaysuseanelectrostatic-dischargewriststraporothergroundingsystem
whenworkinginsidetheserverwiththepoweron.
•Handlethedevicecarefully,holdingitbyitsedgesoritsframe.
•Donottouchsolderjoints,pins,orexposedcircuitry.
•Donotleavethedevicewhereotherscanhandleanddamageit.
•Whilethedeviceisstillinitsstatic-protectivepackage,touchittoanunpaintedmetalpartontheoutside
oftheserverforatleast2seconds.Thisdrainsstaticelectricityfromthepackageandfromyourbody.
•Removethedevicefromitspackageandinstallitdirectlyintotheserverwithoutsettingdownthedevice.
Ifitisnecessarytosetdownthedevice,putitbackintoitsstatic-protectivepackage.Donotplacethe
deviceontheservercoveroronametalsurface.
•Takeadditionalcarewhenhandlingdevicesduringcoldweather.Heatingreducesindoorhumidity
andincreasesstaticelectricity.
