McAfeeSecureisamobilesecurityservicethatenablesyoutoprotectdata,safelyconnecttotheInternet,
andsecurelybrowseandshoptheWeb.Italsoensuresprivacyintheeventoftheftandenhancesthe
possibilityofrecoveringyourtablet.
TouseMcAfeeSecure,youhavetoregisterwithMcAfeerstbydoingthefollowing:
1.OpentheapplicationlibraryandtouchtheMcAfeeSecureicon.
2.FollowtheinstructionsonthescreentoregisterwithMcAfee.
Ifyouareusingyourtabletinanenterpriseenvironment,McAfeeEnterpriseMobilityManagementenables
yourcompany’sITpersonneltocontrolandcongureyourtablettoprovidesecureandeasyaccessto
corporatemobileapplications.
TodownloadMcAfeeEnterpriseMobilityManagement,touchtheapplicationsiconfromaHome
screentoopentheapplicationlibrary.TouchtheMcAfeeBusinessicon.ThentouchDownloadhere.For
instructionsonhowtouseit,consultyourITadministrator.
Lockingthetabletscreen
Toprotectyourtabletdataagainstunauthorizedaccess,lockthescreenandsetanunlockmodefor
unlockingthescreen.Thescreenunlockmodecanbeapersonalorcorporatepassword,aPIN,orapattern.
Afterascreenunlockmodeissetandthescreenislocked,thenexttimeyouturnonyourtabletorwakeup
thescreen,youmusttypethepasswordorthePIN,ordrawtheunlockpatterntounlockit.
Toenablethescreenunlockfunctionandsetupapassword,PIN,orapatterntounlockthescreen,do
thefollowing:
1.OpenAndroidSettingsandtouchSecurity➙Screenlocktoopenalistofoptions.
2.Touchoneofthefollowingoptionstosetupthescreenunlockmode:
•None:Nopassword,PIN,orpatternisrequiredtounlockthescreen.Selectthisoptiontodisable
thescreenunlockfunction.
•Slide:Thisisthedefaultunlockmode.Formoreinformation,see“Screenlockmode”onpage17.
•Pattern:Apatternisauniquewayyousettounlockthescreenbyusingyourngertodrawa
pattern.Thersttimeyoutrytosetapattern,ashorttutorialaboutcreatinganunlockpatternis
displayedtoguideyouthroughtheprocessofsettingone.
•PIN:Typeaseriesofnumbers.
•Password:Typeaseriesofcharacters,numbers,oracombinationofboth.
•Corporatelogon:TouchthisoptiontousethesameuserIDandpasswordyouusetologontoyour
company’sActiveDirectorydomaintounlockyourtabletscreen.
Note:Makeanoteofyourpassword,PIN,orpatternincaseyouforgetit.
